Dominik Szoboszlai has been honoured with a vast mural in his hometown of Székesfehérvár, spanning almost 200 square metres.
The mural is located on a four-storey residential block on Ligetsor, facing the Vörösmarty Primary School where he spent eight years as a pupil.

What happened?

The unveiling is part of the Telekomosok Fesztiválja, a travelling event blending sport, music and digital culture across five Hungarian cities.

The mural has permanence, planting his story into the bricks of the place he comes from, making it a meaningful tribute to the Liverpool star.

Why it matters for Dominik Szoboszlai

This tribute carries real meaning, as it reminds people, and perhaps the player himself, where the journey started, and that success still means most when it means something back home.

The timing may help him too, as Hungary's failure to reach the 2026 World Cup clearly cut deep, and Szoboszlai did not hide the disappointment.

What comes next?

After the demands of the 2025/26 campaign, the summer break may do him the world of good, giving his body and mind the rest they need, especially for players asked to drive games, carry pressure and keep standards high.

Liverpool will hope this summer gives him exactly that, and that he returns to the pitch refreshed and ready to perform at his best.

The mural stands as proof that success still means most when it means something back home, and for the next kid walking through Székesfehérvár dreaming big, that wall might say everything that needs saying.

Dominik Szoboszlai's story is one of hard work and dedication, and his achievements serve as an inspiration to young players everywhere, and this mural is a lasting tribute to his success
